Getting Personal

On a more personal note, I originally grew up in Arizona, and received my Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees from Northern Arizona University in Clinical Speech Pathology.  I moved to the state of Washington in 1996 and worked in both the medical and educational settings as a speech/language pathologist until 2006. Presently, I live in Kirkland with my husband Brad, and daughter, Braelyn. Prior to the birth of my daughter, I served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce as the Vice President of Networking, and on the Executive Board of the Kirkland Downtown Association. Currently, I am a member of two different guilds that raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital: 1) "The Daughter's Guild" - which raises money for the uncompensated care fund, and also 2) "Project Kids Cancer Cure Guild" which raises money for cancer clinical trials.

In my spare time, I am an avid sports fan, and enjoy attending Seahawks and Mariner games. Besides spending quality time with my husband and daughter, I also enjoy traveling, comedy, and music.
